Responsibilities

Provide friendly, plainspoken customer service in an age-restricted retail environment.
Operate the till/POS accurately and follow store cash-handling expectations.
Check government-issued ID when required and follow legal age-compliance procedures every time.
Keep the shop clean, organized, stocked, and ready for customers.
Receive, restock, and tidy inventory according to store procedures.
Learn store procedures and product categories so customers can be helped responsibly without high-pressure sales.
Communicate clearly with management and the team about shift notes, customer issues, product requests, and store needs.
Handle routine customer questions calmly and escalate issues when needed.

Requirements

Legally eligible to work in British Columbia and in an age-restricted retail setting.
Available for the core schedule: Wednesday-Friday evenings and Saturday-Sunday daytime, with some flexibility possible for the right applicant.
Reliable, punctual, and comfortable communicating early if an issue comes up.
Comfortable checking ID and following compliance procedures consistently.
Basic retail, cashier, or customer-service experience is helpful, but the right attitude and reliability matter.
Able to keep a small retail space clean, organized, and stocked during the shift.
Comfortable learning procedures and asking questions during training.
